Pet Product News: Pet Food Crisis Raises Many Questions

The latest edition of PPN has a page 4 article written by David Lummis (pet market analyst for Packaged Facts). He sees the pet food recall disaster as cutting to the core of the pet industry.
“…what’s been moving pet food sales forward is marketers’ success in trading consumers up to higher-priced food touted as top quality.”
He then goes on to show that many of these “super-premium” brands were made in the same facilities as the tainted brands…
